The Team of Waterford Estate
Our goal at Waterford is to be a world-class winery through quality, consistency and service, and we have a very dedicated team who go out of their way to achieve this goal. The team is small, yet intensely focused, with each member of the team committed to the bigger picture.
Cellar master Kevin Arnold has over 20 years of experience on the slopes of the Helderberg. Kevin spent 9 years at Delheim and 10 years at Rust en Vrede before founding Waterford, and experiencing what every winemaker dreams of, choosing the land that will grow the vines of his own wines. He brings a wealth of winemaking and wine marketing expertise and experience to the team.
Our winemaker, Francois Haasbroek, joined the team in 2004 and now works closely with Kevin in upholding Waterford's reputation for creating world-class wines.
Cellar Door Manager Werner Briedenhann is responsible for ensuring all our visitors have a memorable experience at Waterford. He and his team are extremely knowledgeable and deeply passionate about the wines, and they pride themselves on providing individual attention.
Our aim is to be globally competitive in positioning and selling one of South Africa's ultra-premium wine brands, and General Manager, Gareth Robertson is responsible for ensuring we achieve this. Gareth ensures we build longterm meaningful relationships with our client base, which includes are some of the world's leading restaurants, hotels and fine wine stores.
